This year, many tree-related news have surfaced. Ranging from very pleasant ones, like treeplanting activities by PM Lee at Clean & Green Carnival and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, to tragedies like the haze caused by massive deforestation in Indonesia. If all this piques your interest towards the green vastness many call home, this one's for you :) It's on "TREES AND FORESTS" (y)

Good news for STUDENTS: Sign up soon for offers (and simply show your Student Pass for entry).

Due to LIMITED SPACES, here's how you can express your interest to secure your seats: www.techtarik.com | http://bit.ly/techtariktree

We're deeply grateful that we will be having 4 bold persons, tree scientists, innovators and activists, joining us this month to share their pioneering works to help champion TREES AND FORESTS.

Announcing the diverse entrée for TECH TARIK:

LIMITED SPACES: This Friday, 25 Nov, don't miss this rare chance to join 4 bold #tree scientists & #innovators at Kampung Kampus to explore the majestic yet mysterious world of 'Trees & Forests' <3 www.techtarik.com

Announcing the diverse entrée for #TechTarik:

[1] Tony O'Dempsey: Conservationist with Geographical Information System (GIS) experience and a special interest in Freshwater Swamp Forest who worked on the impact survey for the controversial Cross Island Line,

[2] Lahiru Wijedasa: Biodiversity warrior who tracks deforestation of forests, peat fires and termites,

[3] Dr Daryl Lee Tsen-Tieng: Trained civil engineer who seeks to bring urban greenery, especially mature trees, closer to the people and invents 'Eye-On-Trees',

[4] Nur Khairiana: An arborist by day and activist by night, she brings the public for tours, nature walks while educating them on diverse trees around us.

You also get a rare opportunity to learn about their discoveries, mingle with them in person and get exposed to such breakthrough technologies at our unique beautiful Kampung... and yes, have Teh Tarik under the Stars :)
